Howard Wolf was the son of Albert and Lena Wolf, from the Eldridge, North Dakota area.
Carolgene Evelyn Whitney was the daughter of Arthur and Evelyn Whitney, who farmed a half mile north of Ypsilanti, in Stutsman County, North Dakota, and was a native of the Ypsilanti community.
Howard and Carolgene were married, after which they farmed the same farm that Carolgene's father, Arthur, and grandfather, Edward Whitney, had farmed, one-half mile north of Ypsilanti. In 1977, they built a new farmstead one mile east of Ypsilanti, where Leonard Schultz had farmed. Howard farmed, and Carolgene taught school in Jamestown.
They had one daughter, Tamela Jean.
