Albert and Thea were married in Brandon, Minnesota in 1906. Following their marriage, they moved to North Dakota, and built their home in Corwin Township, in Stutsman County. While their home was being built, they lived in a granary.
They farmed in Corwin Township for several years, then retired and moved into Ypsilanti. Albert Wibstad died in 1963, and Thea passed away in 1975.
They had five children: Myrtle, Sidney, Alvin, Owen, and Arline. Myrtle married Ernest Roeske. Sidney was married to Lorraine Johnson. Alvin married Agnes Anderson. Owen was married to Marion McKinley, and Arline married Arne VanDam.
