John Jorgenson

John Jorgenson was born on October 1, 1890, the oldest son of Louis and Jensena Jorgenson. John was six years old when he immigrated, with his parents, to America in 1897, moving to Ypsilanti, North Dakota in 1906. John had one brother, Fred, and two sisters, Lena and Borghild.

John married Lucile Schulz, but she died. He married Pearl Armstrong in 1926. Following their marriage, they purchased a house southeast of the Lutheran Church in Ypsilanti, North Dakota.

During World War II, they moved to San Francisco where John worked in the shipyards. After six years in San Francisco, they moved back to Ypsilanti.
