Phineas Whitney

Phineas Whitney and his wife, Caroline, came to the Ypsilanti community about 1890, from Nebraska. Phineas had originally come from Michigan, while Caroline Shear had emigrated from England.

The Whitneys settled northeast of Ypsilanti, North Dakota, where they had eight children: Albert, Chauncy, Leonard, Clarence, Mildred, Vina, Alfred, and Martin.
