Ralph Hendrickson was born in 1904 in a home along the James River, in Ypsilanti, North Dakota, to Chris and Elizabeth Hendrickson.
Ralph graduated from Hanson's Auto and Tractor School in Fargo in 1926, but he remained a farmer. He farmed the original homesteaded land with his father, Chris, from 1930 to 1949, when Ralph bought this land from his father.
Ralph was married to Grace Hanson in 1930, and they settled down on this farm, living there until 1966, when they moved into Montpelier. They had one son, Dennis, and a daughter, Sonia.
Dennis farmed with his father until 1970, when his father sold the land to him, including the original homestead.
Sonia married Roy Britzman.
Ralph Hendrickson passed away in 1970. In 1982, when the Ypsilanti Community Centennial Book was published, his wife, Grace, was living in Montpelier.
