Stephen O. Allen was married to Hilda Thompson. However, Stephen originally came to North Dakota with his parents, O.T. Allens, in 1883 from Michigan. His siblings, Charles, Hattie and Lewis, also came to North Dakota, settling in Homer Township, Stutsman County.
Later, Steve established a homestead in Corwin Township. Steve and Hilda were married, and continued to live on the farm, although they moved to Jamestown for a few years while Steve worked in the Northern Pacific car shops, then they returned to the farm, where they remained until Hilda's death in 1934.
Steve married Myrtle Biggs, and the couple moved to Jamestown.
Steve and Hilda had two children: Howard and Ollien, both of whom attended a Corwin grade school.
